Goals
Economic Development
- David Quidd will focus on economic development and new jobs for our state.
- David Quidd will support the creation of a Bio-Medical District including the LSU Medical Center and the VA Hospital
- David Quidd believes in making government work and will support promising innovations. I will be a voice for reform
and a new way of doing business in Louisiana
- David Quidd will bring meaningful insurance reform in louisiana including removing the exemption of insurance transactions from the unfair trade practices and consumer protection law enforced by the attorney general's office.

Education
- David Quidd will support all legislation designed to improve and strengthen public education in Louisiana. He will vehemently oppose any legislation that seeks to weaken access to free public education through privatization in any shape or form.
We can all recognize the importance of teaching our children. Shouldn't we pay these teachers a livable wage to attract the brightest and the best?
Healthcare
- The proposed LSU-VA medical distict will include the only Level 1 Trauma Center in this region, a badly needed Crisis Intervention Unit for psychiatric services and a modern teaching hospital for medical, nursing and allied health students. It will be an economic juggernaut as construction will inject $1.2 billion into the local economy. Even more important, it will become the lynchpin for re-establishing the New Orleans Medical District - only bigger and better this time around. For all these reasons, David supports this vital project.
- As your state representative David will address the health insurance crisis (25% of citizens of LA have no health insurance) we face in Louisiana.

Ethics Reform
- David Quidd supports HB-730 and the mission of the LA Ethics 1 Coalition. HB-730 requires that every elected and appointed official in the state fill out financial disclosure statements. This important bill failed in the 2007 session. He will work for its passage in the 2008 session.
- David recognizes the importance of transparency in income reporting for public servants in state government, and will make ethics reform a top priority.
As your state representative David Quidd will exercise due diligence and serve as a responsible steward of public funds for the public good.
